Spam and Steak

Too much has happened to even begin to cover what has happened since I last posted.  Let’s just say that the semester is over, and we went to Maine for a few days.

Today was Birthday Lunch, where our department goes out for lunch together, often times in honor of whoever has a birthday that month.  Today we went to Hereford House, and it was not at all what I was hoping it would be.  It was nice, but I was hoping for that hole-in-the-wall BBQ type of establishment we usually go to.

I also have been getting a TON of spam comments on here.  I have to ‘moderate’ all comments, so none of them actually make it onto the site, but it really drags me down when every time I check my mail I have a dozen new alerts to comments that are all spam.  It was this very thing that caused me to destroy the previous joedonahue.org and set this one up – I really hope I find a way to deal with it or else it will drive me crazy!!

Our anniversary is Sunday, my classes start Monday, and next week we move to Independence. Let the good times roll.

  1. A real comment for you.

I’m glad you guys are back.

Don’t forget to bring you djimbe to rehearsal tonight.

Did you know you were playing it for the wedding?

    Well . . . you are.

  2. I always bring my djembe with me. “Never leave home without it” – That’s what I always say. I’m glad we’re back too.

  3. hey mr joe it is necessary for you to place additional photos in your gallery in order to amuse moi while I am at work.
it was great to see you and Julie last weekend.

man i am hating my work right now. do you think there are always things against your own sense of justice and ethics wherever you work? or is it just where I work? anyone can comment on this if you feel like it. I feel like I am going crazy or am crazy because I can’t help caring about people I work with that keep getting fired for no particulary good reason. and other questionable happenings.

  4. A djembe is my hand percussion instrument. I should take some pics of it and post them, that would make both you and Amara happy.
