About Me
Joe Donahue is a computer programmer, pastor, musician, and Guitar Hero Rock Legend. He lives in Maine with his wife and three children.
In 2005 he graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA with a B.S. in Management Information Systems. While at ENC, Joe worked in the ITS department as a technician and Layout Designer for the school newspaper. He participated in two Summer Ministry teams (Overjoyed and Steadfast), two dramatic performances (lead role in a one-act of Odysseus and Tommy Djilas in The Music Man) and was elected to the Executive Student Government Association as the Director of the Student Ministries Organization.
That same year he married Julie Quinlan in South Portland and moved to Kansas City, MO to begin graduate school at Nazarene Theological Seminary and begin work as a Programmer / Analyst at Nazarene Publishing House. While in KC, Joe and Julie attended Southwood Church of the Nazarene, where he served as Lead Percussionist in an amazing team of musicians and Small Groups director. Joe and Julie had their first child (Amelia) and after nearly 3 years in a land with no Dunkin Donuts, they moved back to Maine.
Returning to Maine in December 2007, Joe began a new role of Youth Pastor at Lisbon Falls Church of the Nazarene. He immediately became involved with the District NYI and has been the Teen Camp Director since 2008. He and Julie had their second child, Andrew, in 2009.
Joe continues to pursue his Masters of Divinity at Seminary (eta 2013) and is software developer for SystemArchitecture.NET.
Meaningful activities include playing ping-pong, basketball, settlers of catan, and music. It includes traveling to concerts as well as visiting, supporting, and encouraging both the teen group within the local church as well as the geographically distant and (often disparate) churches across the State of Maine.
