Southwood White and Clan Troost
Tonight was another defeat for the Southwood White team. This game was different from last week’s game in that it was really close, and we were actually ahead until the end of the game (thats when it counts the most!) But it was fun, and we had a few other guys playing tonight, so we got to sub out. It was also cool to see Ryan Scott, who played for the opposing team, and his wife Katelynn. It’s hard to catch up 2 years in 10 minutes, but we tried.
Also, Halo is beginning to overtake the IS department! I found a trial download online which gives you unrestricted multiplayer. We are discussing a clan name, and I think Clan Troost is the most probable at this point. Scott and Steve and I are playing right now, but Darren has promised to join in and others are expressing interest also. Last week I played against Steve and Scott, and although they got the flag more often that I did, I had more kills than they had combined. So Darren and I should be quite the team.
In other news my Introduction to Biblical Studies class starts up a week from Tuesday, so I am finally starting to get my reading done for it. I know that Brad is in that class, so that should be a lot of fun, plus I know I am taking a class with Andy Fey during the regular semester. It’s a lot more enjoyable to have some friends in the class.
Speaking of Brad, I just noticed I missed a call from him.
And a call from Pastor Craig.
And from Firestone.
My phone has been a real burden lately.
I think Joe forgot to mention one crucial item: The reason for our team’s almost success on saturday.
Without a doubt, the credit goes to the son of Maine basketball superstar Matt Donahue. Crashin’ the boards, racking up key assists, not falling over dead from exhaustion.
This guy is the last piece to the puzzle of almost success.
