Citadels and Basketballs
My regular semester classes have started up and are moving along “swimmingly.” Mind you that I can’t swim. It’s working out well, and I actually had a vocab quiz today in Greek that I kicked in the face. 19.5 / 20. And I have been reading so I understood our class discussion, which didn’t happen a lot last semester, but I really like. I still have to buy the books for my other class, so I am a little behind, but it’s all good.
Last Friday we had “Dude’s Game Night” at Andy’s, and we had a lot of fun playing Citadel. It was Steve’s game, and I am looking forward to when we play again. Andy got a raw deal, that’s all I can say.
And Basketball is over for me! We have one more game this weekend, but Julie and I are going to the church valentine’s dinner instead. It’s an attempt to meet other people in the church we don’t normally see, and for a good meal while we’re at it. Basketball was fun, and I am glad I did it. We had a consistent no-win season, but it was a good time.
Thats pretty cool. I myself am in the midst of classes – for once I may have bit off more than I can chew. I know I say that at least twice every semester, but before I didn’t have Greek with Malas and Theology with Severson at the same time. The first words out of his mouth this semester were “I couldn’t help but make this as hard as a graduate level class.” And then he proceeded to tell us how our syllabus is harder than a graduate level class.
I made summer ministry again! I’m excited. And later today I’m headed up to New Hampshire for the New England Senior High Winter Retreat – NESHWR for short. I’m not sure how to pronounce that, but its pretty much the coolest word since “Banion.”
By the way,
Without Joe’s Pistol Pete like skills at our game on saturday, we not only lost, we got lambasted.
Thanks a lot Joe.
