A New Air Filter and a Good Night’s Sleep

This past week has brought with it two monumental events in my life: a new filter and a good night’s sleep.
Now, a new air filter would normally be trivial, but I had the joy of putting it in myself. Steve Beckerle advised me to get a K&N air filter (and it was actually him that first showed me what the heck an air filter is, back on my Contour before I crumpled it and bought an Escort). So I finally got around to it last weekend – and upon taking out my old air filter, found leaves stuck in it. The little that I know about cars leads me to believe that this is not good, so I am glad I took care of it.

The next bit is already old news, as apparently my wife started up her own blog, but I am still overjoyed about it. Amelia slept through the night for the first time on Monday night! A couple weeks ago the doctor advised us to try to get her asleep a little bit earlier, as 9:30 is a little late for babies. We have had to stop listening to our NPR show together (which starts at 9) but she has been falling asleep pretty good between 7 and 8, and Monday she slept all the way until 4am. It gives me hope.

We still have This American Life on Tuesdays, Car Talk on Wednesdays, and Night Tides on Sunday.

Today was our intern’s last day at NPH. Justin left me a note of everything he’s been working on that he installed before he left, so I know what to look for on Monday when the websites explode :o) Him and I had our desks in “Conference Room J” which was a little separate from the rest of IS for the summer, but with Justin’s departure I got to move back to my old (and smaller) desk. Adam and I both lamented that we would miss Conference Room J. We had a really great summer Justin, I’m gonna miss ya man!

Upcoming:
Tim Dawson and I are going to see Spam-a-Lot on Saturday.
Modules start on the 27th.
