2005 Salary Survey

In perusing the latest Application Development Trends magazine, some interesting numbers were posted. One of which said the average employee wastes 2.09 hours a day. Of all the things mentioned on there that employees do during this waste of time, reading their magazine wasn’t one of them. Or blogging. They also said that entry-level Programmer/ Analysts should expect to get $57,000 a year.
They were wrong on that one too.

  1. Yeah, so that is just over the mean for Software Engineer I… they were wrong on that one too… I am getting $**,*** / year.

P.S. Trox told me to post that… not trying to rub it in 🙂

  2. Sorry Jon, it looks like my blog’s auto-censor feature blocked that last part of your post. It must have been because of something really gross that you said.
Really though, I read your post on your site about your Raytheon adventure, and I think that’s awesome.

  3. Believe it or not, I’m having trouble finding the mean starting salary for “bullet engineers”

    Google has failed me.

    Oh the angst.
