Doctors and Daycare
Yesterday I made my first doctor’s appointment to make sure that I’m not just fooling myself into thinking I’m pregnant. My appointment is next Monday. Obviously I’m going to be full of nerves until then. I’m really working hard to eat healthy–(i.e. no more coffee, limited candy). This is not as easy as it sounds. Especially when I have a huge basket of chocolate in my office 😉
My sister Crystal and I also went to the YMCA accross the street to look at signing up for daycare. You may be thinking that I’m crazy, but the person there reported that there is waiting list of up to a year. I’m not taking any chances. I’m so glad that it will be close by so that I can stop by whenever I have a free moment.
The list of people that now know about the pregnancy is small. My sisters Crystal and Amy know. (Crystal was with me when I took the pregnancy test–that’s pretty much a story in iteself). Joe knows (of course) and Joe’s coworker Scott randomly knows because I accidentally published the first blog post without realizing that it would go live. (I’ve learned my lesson really fast). Don’t ask me what Scott was doing on Joe’s website at 7:30 in the morning… Finally, my coworker Elizabeth knows. (This is mainly because I have a big mouth). This has proved very helpful though, because she referred me to my doctor that I will be seeing next Monday. This is probably all the people to tell right now until I’m a little bit further along. I’m VERY nervous about the whole thing (as I’ve mentioned before). I’m just really hoping that the baby will be healthy…
